Water supply to the city of Konaev is carried out from two sources:

Underground water intake.

The source of the underground water intake is the underground waters of the Nikolaevskoye deposit. The productivity of the underground water intake is 15.36 thousand m³/day. Disinfection of groundwater is carried out in clean water reservoirs located on the site of clean water control reservoirs. Chlorination is continuous, the supplied dose of chlorine is monitored hourly.

There are 6 clean water reservoirs on the site of pressure control reservoirs, with a total volume of V = 22,000 m3.

Surface water intake - Kapshagay reservoir.

Water from the reservoir is taken by six deep-well pumps of the 1st lift station and is supplied to the filtration station via two pressure water pipelines D = 400 mm. The capacity of the water treatment facilities is 20.4 thousand m3 / day. The water purification scheme at the filtration station is classical: coagulation, settling, filtration and disinfection.

The clean water tank (CWT) is designed to ensure uniform operation of pumping stations, smoothing out peak flows, increasing the reliability of the water supply system, as well as for contact chlorination and storage of water reserves for fire-fighting needs, emergency reserves and for in-house technological needs. On the site of the filtration station there is 1 clean water tank, V = 2000 m3.

Capacities

In accordance with Article 26 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Natural Monopolies" dated December 20, 2018, a natural monopoly entity is obliged to quarterly post on its Internet resource or, in the absence thereof, submit to the authorized body for posting on the Internet resource "information on the reserve, availability of free and accessible capacities, capacities, locations, network capacities of the natural monopoly entity, network layout schemes and other property used in the provision of regulated services."

In the city of Konayev, the centralized water supply system provides water extraction from underground sources, disinfection and its supply to the consumer.

For this purpose, the water supply system includes: wells - 5 units, clean water tanks with a capacity of 2000 m3 - 2 units, a capacity of 3000 m3 - 2 units, a capacity of 6000 m3 - 2 units, a first-lift pumping station - 1 unit, a second-lift pumping station - 1 unit, third-lift pumping stations in 9-story buildings - 8 units, a hydrolysis plant for water disinfection - 1 unit, 288.6 km of water supply networks, 171.6 km of sewerage networks.

The quality of underground water meets the requirements for the quality of water for household and drinking needs of the population, according to GOST-2874-82 "Drinking water" and SanPiN order No. 209 dated March 16, 2015. Water quality control is carried out by a certified laboratory for quality control of drinking water of the enterprise.

The city has a centralized water supply for 95% of the population.

The city's sewerage system receives, purifies and discharges wastewater. After using drinking and hot water, consumers discharge it into the sewer network. The total length of sewer networks is 171.6 km. Pumping of wastewater is provided by 17 sewer pumping stations. Wastewater from the main sewer pumping stations No. 4A, 6 enters the sewerage treatment facilities through pressure collectors. Quality control of incoming and purified wastewater is carried out by a certified laboratory. The actual volume of wastewater is 18.0 thousand m3 / day. The provision of centralized sewerage is 85%.
